Description
# Infosec Briefing — independent research and open source
[Website](https://www.infosec-briefing.net/) · [日本語](README_jp.md) · [Research & Open Source](https://www.infosec-briefing.net/about.en#research-open-source) · [MIT license](LICENSE)
Infosec Briefing organizes public cybersecurity information into sourced reports,
structured registers and motion diagrams for developers, operators and independent
researchers. It addresses overlapping vulnerability feeds, delayed database entries,
conflicting version boundaries and uncertainty about exploitation or recovery.
Database counts are not incident counts; attributed reports are distinguished from
confirmed facts and unknowns.
The public repository includes collection and verification scripts, site source,
defensive utilities, runbooks and original research documentation under MIT.
Retrieved third-party evidence retains its owners' rights. Inspect [dated datasets](data/),
[the current dataset pointer](data/latest.json), [research methodology](docs/research-methodology.md)
and [grant-readiness notes](docs/grant-readiness.md) for completed work and proposed development.
To reproduce a documented offline check, run `python3 tools/intel/verify-1847.py`
from a checkout (Python 3; no network). It verifies that dated snapshot and writes
its derived `verification.json`. Current evidence checks use
`python3 -m unittest discover -s tests -p evidence_manifest_test.py`.
Recollection contacts upstream services and may overwrite saved responses; use a
separate checkout and the [methodology instructions](docs/research-methodology.md).
It cannot guarantee recovery of past revisions.
Contribute a focused pull request with evidence and relevant checks, or
[report an issue](https://github.com/yomiplush/2026-world-is-a-fuck-incident/issues)
with the page, source URL and retrieval date. Translation and documentation
corrections are welcome; keep historical records intact and omit private information.
